Wood County Adult Drug Treatment Court is a cost-effective and efficient non-traditional judicial model, which is designed to assist criminal justice involved
individuals in breaking the cycle of drug use, through routine judicial appearances, intensive supervision, and team decision making, relying on evidence-based principles in an effort to promote community safety.
Goals & Benefits
- To provide early referral, assessment and court intervention
- To connect participants with support networks including recovery coaches/sponsors and individualized case managers
- To promote public safety by reducing recidivism
- To provide tools to participants to maintain a healthy, sober lifestyle, and to increase the number of people who remain alcohol and drug free in Wood County
- To provide community opportunities for treatment and engagement to individuals whose crimes are impacted by their substance use
- To promote recovery and improve the quality of life of the participant

Requirements include participation in recommended substance use treatment, random drug testing, on-going appearances before the Judge, case management meetings,
