Wood County offers visitors a variety of activities at any of our 7 recreational parks, 3 rivers, many lakes, 38,000 acres of county forest land, and 18,500 acres of Wood County State Wildlife Area.

While in Wood County you can enjoy yourself year-round with all types of outdoor fun ranging from ice-fishing to disc golf.

ATV Area Closure

The ATV Intensive Use Area will be closed beginning Friday, November 17, 2023 and will reopen on Monday, November 27, 2023. Have a safe and successful hunt!

Dexter Park Water

Due to the colder temperatures, water has been shut off at Dexter Park Campground dump station. This includes water for rinsing and potable water. Full Hookup Sites have also been closed for the remainder of the camping season.
