- Wood County’s Volunteer Snowmobile Club members are currently out signing, packing, and getting trails safe for the upcoming season. Only Club members are ALLOWED on trails at this time for maintenance purposes. Wood County will announce opening dates later next week.
- Powers Bluff tube and ski hills will open for the season on Saturday December 20th from 10am-4pm. Please check our website or Facebook page for ticket sales and open dates over the holidays.
- Powers Bluff multi-use trails are groomed and open for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, & fat tire biking. Single Track trails are open for fat tire biking and snowshoeing. Trail conditions for the single-track trail can be found on our website and on the Trailbot app. Trails are open daily and can be accessed from the Hwy N trailhead parking lot.
- The Nepco Lake County Park Nordic ski trail has been groomed for cross country skiing. During the winter months, this trail is only open for cross country skiing. All other users must use the single-track trail.
- The Richfield 360 County Forest multi-use trails are groomed and open for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and fat tire biking.

Accessible Hunting Blinds

Wood County Accessible Hunting Blinds are available by reservaton for $20 per day during Wisconsin Deer or Turkey Seasons. Hunters are required to possess a Wisconsin DNR Class A, B, C, or D Hunting Disability Permit. Reservations can be made by phone or in person during regular business hours, Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm, at the Wood County Parks & Forestry Office.

This crew will be the brainpower behind making our beloved Wood County State Wildlife Area in the Town of Remington even more amazing. Come be a part of shaping nature's playground! Effective Immediately: The south gate (formerly the high water entrance) at North Park will remain open at all times during the camping season.
